Finance Manager

Position Title: Finance Manager

Position Reports to: VP of Finance

Department: Accounting/Finance

Status: Full-Time/Exempt

Duties Include:

• Responsible for assigned WIP schedules, WIP Consolidation and related reporting
• Interim reporting and analysis related to project related impacts OH and G&A
• Work closely with project management team for margin analysis and research.
• Prepare, aggregate and review monthly gross margin projections and contingencies
• Assist with cost management review follow up and related analysis
• Support operational leads with process improvements and financial related analysis
• Assist in monthly close process including detailed WIP reconciliation and analysis.
• Responsible for KPI reporting related to WIP schedules (monthly and quarterly).
• Assist with job cost invoice review and contract cost analysis.
• Assist with various monthly project and department budgetary meetings.
• Assists with various audits and information requests.
• Adherence to internal control policies and procedures.

Desired Characteristics:

• Demonstrates strong accounting knowledge for general ledger and job cost transactions.
• Familiarity with WIP accounting and construction background a plus
• Familiarity with key construction related KPI’s
• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and organization to bring them to conclusion
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and desire to work with others.
• Continuous improvement mentality.

Preferred Experience:

• Construction accounting or percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Advanced excel skills and ability to learn new software programs.
• Finance degree or CPA preferred
• Sage 300 CRE accounting
