Field Quality Engineer

FUNCTION: Field Quality Engineer position will be responsible for the detection, analysis, reporting, and monitoring of resolutions of Product Quality and Process Quality issues occurring at distribution centers, dealers, and customers. Position will also play instrumental role in helping the recovery of warranty cost from suppliers.

GOAL: This position is designed to ensure and improve product and process quality, ensure consistency in quality standards between distribution centers, and achieving verifiable resolution to problems with suppliers, plants, and supplier design and engineering departments. This position is designed to quickly and effectively assess part failures,

REQUIREMENTS: Technical Product knowledge in farm equipment or other vehicular industry is ESSENTIAL. Exposure to Failure Analysis program. Inventory Control. Logistics.

· Independently conduct quality and warranty data analysis for problem detection and monitoring

· Establish and maintain Early Warning Systems for new products

· Establish field reporting system from Dealers and Field Service Managers, analyze, verify, report on problems reported; bring about resolution and monitor results

· Conduct failed parts analysis and reporting.

· Performs other duties as assigned

Experience in the following elements required:

· Strong technical/mechanical background in vehicular/construction equipment/farm equipment technologies

· Customer service skills and vehicular retail experience

· Excellent communication skills to be able to converse with dealers and employees via phone and email

· Support in administration of product updates on customer tractors & dealer stock tractors

· Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently is required.

· Skilled at problem resolution

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Programs,

· Must have resources to provide reliable transportation to and from place of work

· Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced office environment

· Ability to work in a team environment

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; job requires full use of hands and arms and ability to talk, see, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Professional Experience & Qualifications:

Candidates need to have a thorough knowledge of tractor/ equipment. This individual will need to have ability to communicate effectively with plants, dealers, suppliers, and internal team members.

• Bachelor’s / Associate Degree in Engineering, with technical certifications
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Management, Quality Monitoring, Reporting; Advance level data analysis skills; Experience with vehicle design, operation, manufacturing, preferably in the Farm Equipment sector.
• Electrically sound, understands how electrical systems and circuits works and troubleshooting.
• Must be able to express him/herself fluently and clearly in spoken and written English.
• Ability to organize information provided verbally or visually into a structured document or process flow diagram that is easy to understand and follow.
• High energy with a sense of urgency; be resilient and self-confident
• Proficient with MS Excel, proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Motivated to identify waste, propose improvements, and support implementation of initiatives
• Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills
• Have a root cause / countermeasure approach to problem resolution
• Process driven, detailed oriented, results driven and self-motivated

Experience in the following elements desired:

· Knowledge of SAP system preferred
