We are looking for a topnotch Facilities and Maintenance Manager to develop and drive facilities and maintenance initiatives and programs across our farm and extraction manufacturing sites.The Facilities and Maintenance Manager will oversee the company facilities in central Oregon, ensuring all equipment is proactively maintained and in working order and facility standards are consistently met. This position reports to the Senior Director, Farm and Chemical Manufacturing and will be responsible for developing and managing budgets, hiring, training and managing small teams for optimal maintenance and facility upkeep, execution of maintenance programs, and upholding all safety and regulatory standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilities
Ensure building interiors and exteriors, fencelines, and general lawncare and landscaping are maintained
Assist with design layout and installation, equipment purchases for all facility and construction projects. Develop equipment requirements, electrical pulls and utility mapping for all facility projects
Plan and execute facility and construction projects. Manage all contractors, from getting bids through work completion and permitting. Lead the team in executing smaller jobs and parts of larger jobs in-house.

Assist with long term plant expansion/renovation planning and execution, coordinating and interfacing with vendors, contractors, and city/county representatives.
Manage regularly scheduled pest control contractor visits, fire suppression inspections, internal and external boiler inspections and coordinate with contractors when applicable
Maintain all physical assets of the site, including but not limited to, replacing light bulbs and fixtures, limited plumbing/electrical repair, landscaping and lawncare
Vehicle and equipment maintenance
Manage and oversee the facility and equipment maintenance, repair, cleanliness and good operation
Support Farm Operations by ensuring equipment is functioning properly, consistently maintained and in working order. Design, implement and execute maintenance schedules for every piece of equipment
Maintain inventory log of assets, tools, back-up parts and coordinate procurement of tools and back-up parts as necessary
Maintain forklifts, farm trucks, tractors and other farm implements
Processing and extraction equipment maintenance
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on boilers, chillers, air compressors, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and other production equipment
Keep a detailed record of preventative maintenance and repair work
Train extraction/fiber processing staff to PM equipment
Maintain inventory log of assets, tools, back-up parts and coordinate procurement of tools and back-up parts as necessary
Manage regularly scheduled pest control contractor visits, fire suppression inspections, internal and external boiler inspections and coordinate with contractors when applicable
Safety
Coordinate with farm management to ensure operator training, procedural compliance, maintenance and safety practices are followed for all equipment
Ensure a healthy and safe working environment and comply with all federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health and safety staff and leadership of the plant safety programs and processes
Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP requirements
Align with the EHS team to ensure department activity is in compliance with State & Federal regulations, and company policies & guidelines (EPA, LOTO, cGMP, Confined Space, Fall Hazard Protection, Hot Work, UPC, Building Codes, etc.)
Leadership/management/planning
Partner with the farm leadership to improve production processes and optimize the equipment and flow to reduce labor, waste and equipment wear. Assist in equipment selection for industry-leading productivity, ergonomics, and safety
Utilize Kaizen principles to realize immediate benefits and set the foundation for a continuous improvement environment
Lead equipment and facility briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives
Lead and mentor facility and maintenance team members
Drive innovation by deploying best practices, industry trends, tools, and equipment to drive increased efficiency and operational excellence goals
Evaluate issues and propose relevant solutions to design problems. Help ensure that plans are feasible, timelines realistic and that the team is fully aligned with the project requirements.
Propose innovative ideas to enhance the warehouse functions and improve the general running of the business
Prepare, manage and work within the departmental budget to assist in overall achievement of targets
Requirements
5+ years of related experience as a Facility or Maintenance Manager
Experience managing a food manufacturing facility is highly preferred
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university
A demonstrated knowledge of organizational effectiveness and facility management
Excellent problem solving and reasoning skills required
Working knowledge of construction budgets, contractor negotiation and management
Experience in commercial building design, construction, planning and permitting
Thorough knowledge of the State and Federal workplace safety standards and codes, including building and fire codes
Ability to work with cross-functional teams including supply chain, production, quality/sanitation, packaging, and order fulfillment
Proficient with Google Suite products and Microsoft Office applications including Google Sheets and Excel
Strong and effective communications skills, both with internal and external customers
Highly proficient with PLCs, including troubleshooting and programming
Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent root cause problem solving skills
Experience managing and deploying PM programs
