Nookly is a mission-driven AI startup that aims to reimagine the way children engage with online content using generative AI. Our vision is to provide personalized, educational, and engaging online content that is tailored to each child's individual development needs and disrupts the $360Bn Online Child Content Market. With an initial focus on serving neurodivergent children, particularly within the autism population, we aim to create engaging visual aids to enhance their learning experience. Ultimately, we envision a future in which our tool will serve as the conduit for bringing personalized learning & entertainment content to all children.

This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks with direct conversion to Full Time opportunity. Interns must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Role Overview

What you’ll be doing 🎨

• Work directly with the founders to collaboratively define the product and machine learning roadmap.
• Play an instrumental role in developing and launching our product.
• Work on cutting-edge research in machine learning and artificial intelligence that can be applied to Nookly problems.
• Use machine learning, computer vision, and proprietary feedback data to build pipelines for consistent and safe personalized content generation for children.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ship models that you are proud of.
  
  

Who you are 👋

• Rockstar Engineer: 4+ years of software development experience with the following:
• Currently pursuing a PhD degree in Computer Science or related field
• Able to commit to working for 12 weeks
• Strong track record of research in one or more areas of computer vision, computer graphics and machine learning, preferring candidates with publications in top-tier venues such as SIGGRAPH/SIGGRAPH Asia, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR
• Mastery of at least one systems languages (Java, C++, Python) or one ML framework (Tensorflow, Pytorch, MLFlow)
• Builder: You’re action-oriented and have experience building ML Models from conception to launch
• Learner: You're innately curious and willing to solve an ambiguous problem while adapting to a dynamic environment
• User Driven: You empathize deeply with our users (parents, childcare professionals, & kids) and are excited by building products that spark wonder
• Team Player: You enjoy collaborating with others and hanging out with passionate team members
• Nice-to-Haves:
• Experience with computer vision, GAN & diffusion models
• Proficiency working with images (2D, 3D), point cloud or mesh data is a plus.
• Graduating December 2023 onwards with intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship
• Sense of humor
  

Compensation 💻

• Monthly stipend of $2-5k depending on time commitment
