We are looking for a Manager of Marketing Events to join our clients' team!


The Manager of Marketing Events works with the Engagement Department, staff, and leadership in developing and implementing a coordinated strategy for engaging members through the web, advertising, video, social media, text, print materials, and events that are in alignment with business goals and objectives and positively impact member satisfaction and retention.


He/she will have the following areas of oversight and leadership: Written Communications & Working with Media; Marketing; Social Media; Website; Graphic Design; Event Management; and additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.


DUTIES:

  • Reflect, articulate, and promote the mission, vision, and identity of company.
  • In conjunction with the VP of Engagement and the Director of Special Events, support the sales and marketing of company projects, services, and solutions and their subsidiary's.
  • Serve as the primary Marketing person for all events, with a critical focus on event awareness, attendance, and member engagement.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Special Events, you are responsible for evaluating, recommending, and driving an integrated event strategy for each event in which the Association, the Board of Directors, or its Committees participates.
  • Create and manage the annual calendar of brand events and work closely with cross-functional teams and head of events to ensure positioning, messaging, goals, deliverables, and tactics are achieved before, during, and after each event.
  • Liaising with the Design Team, he/she will ensure consistency of branding and messaging.
  • Manage event site logistics, including negotiating contracts with vendors, payment schedules, room blocks guarantee/attrition, and food and beverage minimums.
  • Develop a measurement framework and track, measure, evaluate, and report on KPIs for each event.
  • Interact with key decisions makers, leaders, and the board of directors.
  • Responsible for ordering and tracking event inventory, including collateral, giveaways, etc.
  • To enhance our mission and efficiently increase non-dues revenue outcomes, he/she will work with senior leadership, the Board of Directors, and Association Committees and their Liaisons to drive new revenue, maintain and elevate current sponsors in conjunction and collaboration with the Executive Director of the Foundation, and expand special events capabilities.
  • Leads special projects as assigned and serves as a committee liaison (the committee to be determined).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Seven years' experience as a marketing and./or events manager or in a similar function is required.
  • Proven experience carrying out event marketing efforts, including trade show planning, attendance, and reporting.
  • Possess excellent managerial, supervisory, communication, and planning skills.
  • Comfortable presenting and speaking to executive leadership and large audiences.
  • Excellent project management, leadership, and collaborative skills are required.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office (word, excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changes in priorities and remain productive under pressure is required.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You are creative, innovative, and always think outside the box.
  • Able to properly motivate, guide, and assist volunteer committees and staff and deal effectively and diplomatically with them.
  • Must possess mature judgment, confidentiality, and a high degree of personal organization and initiative.
  • You are metric-driven and can draw insight from complex marketing data.
  • Be willing to take advantage of industry and professional learning opportunities to increase their knowledge and skill base.
  • Fundraising experience desired.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
