Contract role with a high potential for extension or conversion.

Hybrid with an on-site requirement two to three days per week.

Location – South Suburb of Minneapolis.

Target pay range of $32-$40/hr depending on experience.


Our client, a global supply chain and logistics company is seeking an Events Specialist to join their marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity to bring clients together for in-person networking, continuing education, and impactful company events.

This role is critical for the go-to-market strategy and will improve event and program strategy. You will support the team in many aspects including executing and planning the logistics, the day of coordination, and post-event assessments.


The ideal candidate has a strong background in large-scale events, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.



Responsibilities

Lead the planning and execution of events for key business verticals in support of brand-building and demand-generation goals

  • Work cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Product, and Sales Teams
  • Responsible for the management and coordination of the operational, logistic, and financial aspects of tradeshows, conferences, and other Marketing-supported events
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment on event objectives, participation level, support materials, contracts, and timelines
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsor organizations, venues, vendors, and other external partners
  • Manage event asset inventory

Manage all pre-and post-event logistics, including

  • Event registration, booth reservations, and access to virtual platforms
  • Shipping of booth, collateral, premiums, and other support materials
  • Procurement and coordination of audiovisual and technology resources
  • Procurement and upload of pre-and post-event attendee lists
  • Coordinate logistics of booth setup and teardown
  • Conduct pre-event meetings and post-event assessments


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality/ Event Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 3+ years of trade show and event management experience
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to work internally and externally at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to set and manage priorities in a multi-task, fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
  • Ability to work in a remote, independent environment
  • Must be a proactive, self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated high energy and strong work ethic
