Engineering Co-op Fall 2024 Term

As a co-op working with the Chain Products - Engineering group, you will play a key role in the development and validation of future HY-VO® and Silent Chain products used by virtually every vehicle manufacturer in the world for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles, 4WD Transfer Cases, Front-Wheel Drive Transmissions, and Engine Timing Systems. You will learn what it is like to work in a team-driven, exciting, fast-paced, and large-scale manufacturing environment. You will have the opportunity to build experience in project management and decision making by managing your own long-term project that will reinforce engineering principles, technical skills, and introduce data-analysis techniques. In addition, you will gain experience with a variety of test equipment including high-speed fatigue and wear testers, high-torque tooth jump testers, and state-of-the-art inspection equipment.

Co-op compensation is determined by class level (i.e. Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors etc.)
Pay range $16.82- $24.26.

- Material properties and processing
- Test planning and methodology
- Data analysis Statistics (Minitab)
- Programming Matlab, Excel VBA
- Component design SolidWorks, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Inter-office communication Microsoft Office Suite
