Energy Engineer
Position: Senior Energy Engineer
Salary Range: $85k-$120k
Location: Midtown Manhattan

They have a proven track record of solving complex automation challenges, supported by well-established processes that ensure client success.
Job Description: We are assisting our client in finding a highly skilled and motivated Senior Energy Engineer to join their innovative team. This role demands a proactive professional who can work independently with minimal oversight from project managers and senior leadership. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, semi-autonomous, and an effective communicator, capable of engaging directly with senior client stakeholders on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed energy analysis with strong technical expertise, ensuring timely and effective results.
- Consistently meet or surpass project deadlines.
- Efficiently delegate tasks to junior team members.
- Serve as a "value visionary," identifying the client's value proposition from limited information and aligning it with their objectives. Develop a logical roadmap and collaborate closely with the client to achieve their goals with minimal guidance.
- Ensure communication is clear, concise, and logical.
- Collaborate effectively with subcontractors, potential future subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to develop and implement energy projects.
Core Requirements:
- Proficiency in energy modeling software and spreadsheet analysis.
- Strong knowledge of energy economics.
- Excellent skills in client communication and management.
- Familiarity with energy audit and retro-commissioning processes and practices.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Understanding of NY/NJ utility incentive programs (e.g., ConEd, NYSERDA, NJ SmartStart).
- Strong project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of energy project finance and funding methods.
