Embedded Systems Verification Engineer (24-00019)

We are seeking a talented Embedded Systems Verification Engineer to join our Indiana team, contributing to the development of cutting-edge embedded systems. As an Embedded Systems Verification Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of our embedded systems through comprehensive testing and requirements verification. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements, develop test plans, execute tests, and analyze results to validate system functionality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on embedded system requirements and design specifications.
  • Execute system-level tests to verify functionality, performance, and reliability of embedded systems across various platforms and environments.
  • Implement automated test scripts and tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, and product managers to identify test requirements and priorities.
  • Conduct requirements verification to ensure alignment between system requirements and design implementations.
  • Perform regression testing to validate system changes and enhancements.
  • Identify, isolate, and document issues or defects discovered during testing, and work with development teams to prioritize and address them.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of system failures.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on system architecture and requirements to ensure testability and verifiability.
  • Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test traceability to requirements, in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in embedded systems testing and requirements verification.
  • Ability to follow procedures such as reviews, problem reporting and test method application.
  • Experience in aviation or automotive systems is a plus
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and design principles.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for test automation.
  • Experience with embedded systems development tools and environments (e.g., IDEs, debuggers).
  • Familiarity with hardware testing tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols commonly used in embedded systems (e.g., ARINC 429, CAN).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
