Our client, a leader in electrical contracting, is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team on a direct hire basis. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of electrical projects, ensuring competitiveness and profitability. What You Will Do
Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for electrical projects, encompassing conceptual, design-build, and general tender work.
Independently calculate material, labor, and equipment costs based on project proposals, plans, and specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Review project data to determine material and labor requirements, creating detailed itemized lists.
Draft requests for quotations (RFQs) to solicit competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
Collaborate closely with the Estimating Manager to establish indirect costs and overheads for each estimate.
Perform additional duties as assigned to meet company objectives.
What You Need To Join Our Team
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent trade experience.
3-5 years of experience in electrical estimating within the construction industry.
Proficiency in developing electrical service quotes/estimates.
Knowledge of electrical sub-trades scope of work.
Solid understanding of electrical drawings and the ability to interpret schematics and P&IDs.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel); knowledge of Accubid Estimating Software is a plus.
Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization, customers, contractors, and other business partners.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Experience
Construction estimating: 3 years (Preferred)
