Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in designing and developing state-of-the-art EV charging stations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, a passion for renewable energy, and experience in power electronics, circuit design, and system integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Development:
    • Design electrical systems for EV charging stations, including power distribution, circuit protection, and control systems.
    • Develop detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout designs for charging stations.
    • Select appropriate components and materials to ensure high performance, reliability, and safety of the charging stations.
  • System Integration:
    • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and civil engineering teams to integrate electrical components into the overall charging station design.
    • Ensure seamless integration of charging stations with existing electrical infrastructure and grid systems.
    • Work with utility companies and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes and standards.
  • Prototyping and Testing:
    • Build and test prototypes of EV charging stations to validate design concepts and performance.
    • Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues.
    • Implement design improvements based on testing results and feedback.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs.
    • Prepare project documentation, including technical specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
    • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to procure necessary components and materials.
  • Innovation and Improvement:
    • Stay updated on the latest advancements in EV charging technology, power electronics, and renewable energy.
    • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in charging station design and performance.
    • Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the EV or renewable energy industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, EPLAN) for electrical design and layout.
  • Strong understanding of power electronics, circuit design, and electrical system integration.
  • Experience with simulation and analysis tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, UL).
  • Familiarity with battery management systems, power converters, and energy storage systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with smart grid technology and grid integration of EV charging stations.
  • Understanding of renewable energy sources and their integration with EV charging infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing electrical systems.
