This is a hybrid position. The incumbent can expect to work from home 3 days per week, and work in our office, or at a client site, 2 days per week.

The Opportunity

As an Electrical Engineer/Designer II/III at Interface, you will be taking ownership as a discipline contributor on multiple projects. You will have a developed understanding of construction drawings and a basic understanding of engineering principles. You will perform design/modeling tasks and will actively seek mentorship from senior staff. Team members may participate in technical societies, educational programs, and civic affairs in the best Your duties will include (but may not be limited to):

  • Preliminary electrical design and layout
  • Document delivery coordination
  • Preliminary load calculations
  • Researching commercially available equipment
  • Design drafting
  • System design with direction from mentor and/or senior engineer
  • Provide exemplary customer service to internal team members and clients

To Qualify For Application

The successful Electrical Engineer/Designer candidate should have:

  • BSEE
  • 3+ years' prior experience in MEP consulting/design
  • High-energy client services skills
  • Excellent communication ability
  • Complete understanding of building codes
  • Thorough design system knowledge
  • Preliminary electrical design and layout.
  • Document delivery coordination.
  • Preliminary load calculations.
  • Researching commercially available equipment.
  • Design drafting.
  • System design with direction from mentor and/or senior engineer.
  • Provide exemplary customer service to internal team members and clients.

To Be Competitive For This Role

Candidates with the following will be given higher consideration for this role:

  • Professional Engineering License (or desire to pursue)
  • LEED Accreditation (or desire to pursue)
  • Experience with REVIT

Interface Benefits And Perks

  • Highly competitive total compensation packages. The annual salary range for this position is $65,000 k to $95,000 annually.
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance. Interface pays 100% of employee only premium or 80% of the premium for employee and dependents.

  • Paid Holidays – Nine (9) paid holidays per year.
