eComm Assistant Buyer

About The Position

The eCommerce team powers our US and Canada Columbia.com sites as well as our Customer Care Center. From merchandising and marketing to product management and technology, the consumer is at the center of everything we do. And, the eCommerce team is known for the relentless improvement of the customer experience-always striving for a better, faster, easier experience. 

The eCommerce Merchandising team is looking for an Assistant Buyer to support the ecommerce buying function and drive sales in all facets of Buying, In-Season management, and the Product Set Up process. In this role you will increase efficiency and accuracy of all buying activities, especially Pricing, Site Merchandising, Inventory Management, Reporting, and Analysis. Additionally, you will partner with Buyer and Planner to develop seasonal product assortments and strategies.

How You’ll Make a Difference

• Site merchandising strategy, execution and QA for desktop and mobile, including updates for all events and experiences, sort, filters, and style categorization.
• Responsible for providing accurate reporting tools to enable teams to analyze business and act, including creation of new tools as well as weekly and ad hoc reporting.
• Support the seasonal buy process including attending Sales Meeting, prepping buy sheets and outlines, entering, uploading and reconciling the buys.
• Ensure all price action is strategic, timely, tested on the site, and aligns with marketing. Align with stores when applicable.
  
  

YOU ARE

• Advanced in Excel and in manipulating data with advanced formulas and functions.
• Well-versed in organizational skills and attention to detail
• Familiar with ecommerce website merchandising strategies
• A team player
• Flexible with the fast-paced nature of ecommerce industry
  
  

YOU HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Merchandising or applicable certification and/or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years eCommerce and/or retail experience.
• Experience with Vendor management and partnerships
