Director of Supplier Management

Job Description

Position Summary: This position supports the NDC Master Distribution Business in building and maintaining healthcare supplier relationships by performing the following responsibilities.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Proactively and innovatively maintain and develop prospective and current supplier relationships by selling NDC’s capabilities and value proposition
• Ability to commercialize NDC’s portfolio of supplier solutions to generate new revenue while meeting supplier needs
• Negotiate contractual agreement terms and ongoing opportunities while meeting NDC profitability objectives
• Collaborate with other essential NDC departments when onboarding new or expanded programs and solutions
• Ability to customize corporate and analytical presentations and tools for supplier meetings and discussions
• Utilize project management for onboarding activities, data analysis and reporting
• Play a secondary role in the analysis, selection, development, and negotiation of new supplier partnerships
• Provide category/product expertise to the enterprise to support commercial initiatives as needed
• Travel, as needed and determined by the VP, to meet with suppliers, attend applicable healthcare industry meetings, and events or any other activity that supports the success of NDC’s initiatives and programs.

Job requirements

Knowledge/Experience: A bachelor’s degree (4-year college education) or equivalent; or four plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the healthcare industry to include distribution and/or manufacturing.

• Understanding of supplier/distributor relationships

Physical Requirements: Normal office environment located in Nashville, TN
