Director of Operations & Strategy

We are searching on behalf of our client for this type of profile:

• Create a world class Safety environment: Execute Safety Plan and Plant TIR Targets.
• Labor and Productivity Targets; baseline daily/monthly, YOY productivity & OEE.
• Material (Scrap), and Overhead Spending and other Cost of Production standards and targets.
• Quality targets: Manage Quality Systems and reduce escapes
• Lean and CI Savings; Value realization, Labor Productivity improvements: Material Savings.
• Customer Service Targets: Fill Rate, Net and Absolute Attainment of OTP, delinquency reductions
• Drive SIOP other run strategies.
• Effectively manage New Product Launch implementation – on time, on cost, on quality and interface with GSC and NPD sales teams on make buy decision implementation

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ yrs. of work experience within Manufacturing including 7+ years’ experience in Plant Operations line management & leadership
• Strong understanding of Lean Sigma and Continuous Improvement philosophy, methodologies, and techniques. Proven history of successfully executing and utilizing Lean Sigma Continuous Improvement philosophy, tools, and techniques to drive significant, quantifiable improvements within Manufacturing Operations.
• Proven track record of leading teams and developing employees, driving collaboration, and building effective relationships. Must be energetic, driven, and passionate, and able to inspire and cultivate a fast-paced, change-oriented workplace
• Strong level of "business and financial acumen" that will enable the individual to create, manage, and leverage relationships with corporate and functions external to the site such as R&D, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Finance, and key leaders
• Strong understanding of the planning and scheduling process, Understands and supports inventory management principles and supports run strategies such as Lean Repetitive Flexible Supply, Optimized Order Quantities, and Segmentation. Demonstrated knowledge and experience working within an industry recognized ERP like JD Edwards, Epicor, SAP or another like environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and develop solid business working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders. Thrives in a very fast paced, complex environment and can deal with ongoing, conflicting, and multiple priorities.
• Performs as overall Operations leader for SFO Manufacturing Plant and manages flagship complex operations in alignment with operating plans directly overseeing the day-to-day Tier I and Tier II management, rolling up to ED/GM at Tier III bi-weekly meeting.
• Provides effective focus, leadership, and accountability for the SFO Manufacturing Operations.
• Ability to develop strategic plans for the plant operations and be able to have the team execute with effectiveness while achieving plant business objectives and goals.
• The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, is forward thinking and creative.
• He/she seeks out creative and proactive solutions to complex business problems.

Individual aspires to move into Executive Director/GM (ED/GM) role or has underlying skillsets developable into a career path making the incumbent eligible to transition into said role in 18-24 months.

• Individual will manage current direct level positions on the daily operational cadence allowing the GM/Executive Director to focus on strategic level planning more singularly. Incumbent will be integral in the working directly with the GM on all long term 3–5-year HOSHIN or X-Matrix development, long term capital development and deployment planning.
