Overview: Vista Verde Guest Ranch and Steamboat Lake Outpost, under common ownership of the Jones Family, are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts and drive growth for our two businesses located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. VVR offers an all-inclusive private guest ranch experience, while the Outpost offers a-la-carte activities, restaurant, gas, lodging, general store, and evening activities open to the public. The entities are at separate locations in the Clark area, yet share the same values, culture, community, and mission. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness, attract new guests, and foster guest loyalty. This role reports directly to the General Manager and works with the team of directors to achieve business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
  • Manage and optimize the marketing budget to ensure efficient allocation of resources across various channels including digital marketing, advertising, PR, and promotions.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats; adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Oversee digital marketing efforts including SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media, and content creation to drive engagement and conversion.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop effective promotional campaigns and initiatives to drive reservations and bookings. Keeping the Owners and General Manager up to date on the marketing strategy.
  • Monitor and report on marketing performance metrics, ROI, and effectiveness of campaigns; use data-driven insights to optimize strategies.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all platforms and ensure all marketing communications align with brand guidelines and values.
  • Cultivate relationships with media partners, industry influencers, and strategic partners to enhance brand visibility and reach.

·       Work PR firms to recruit media stays for publications on VVR and SLO.

Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior marketing role, preferably within the hospitality, travel, or luxury goods industries.
  • Strong leadership skills and engagement with staff and guest at the properties.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive revenue growth.
  •  Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence with the ability to understand and manage emotions in oneself and others, navigate social complexities, and build positive relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing techniques and best practices, including SEO/SEM, PPC, social media, and email marketing.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and optimizing marketing spend across various channels.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
