Director of Finance

Job Description

We are a high growth, well capitalized and profitable logistics company looking for an extremely talented Director of Finance to develop and lead all finance efforts and eventually build our finance and accounting team.

You need to be driven and strategic with 2-5 years of financial management experience in a well established organization or a rapidly growing start-up environment. You will work closely with our leadership team to provide tactical and strategic support in all areas of finances. This is a challenging role that will require you to be flexible and open-minded, paying close attention to detail and thoroughly document processes.

We are looking for an analytically-minded, motivated, intense, self driven and multi-talented swiss-army knife who can do a little bit of everything. Must be willing to commute daily to our West Palm office.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
• Leading metrics like bookings, contracted ARR & recognized ARR
• Unit economics like CAC:LTV and marketing/sales efficiency
• Cash burn and runway
• Ensuring a smooth audit process by creating and maintaining internal controls, establishing and maintaining immaculate record keeping
• Representing the company externally, as necessary, particularly in banking and lease negotiations
• Managing outside vendors
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of related experience in a demanding finance role, audit experience a plus
• Mastery of GAAP Principles, particularly those pertaining to revenue recognition
• Solid experience with financial analysis and forecasting
• Experience in fundraising, M&A, and IPOs is a plus
• CPA, Big 4 experience, and/or recent experience scaling a finance team from inception to $15 million+ in annual revenues or 75+ full-time employees preferred
