Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as the Director of Finance & Accounting. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the finance and accounting functions, providing financial insights, driving strategic decision-making, and supporting the company's overall financial goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and business partnering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy:
  • Developing and implementing financial strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational goals.
  • Financial Planning & Forecasting:
  • Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
  • Reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and variance analysis reports.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting:
  • Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Review financial performance against key metrics and benchmarks, providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Present financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Review and conduct ad hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
  • Integrate financial and operational data from various sources (e.g. ERP systems, CRM software, operational databases) into a centralized data platform for comprehensive analysis.
  • Accounting Operations:
  • Manage all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close process.
  • Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identifying and managing financial risks, including compliance and internal controls.
  • Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and business planning.
  • Partner with operational leaders to drive cost optimization, efficiency improvements, and profitability enhancements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, providing financial guidance and support as needed.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the Finance and Accounting team.
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness through process improvements, automation, and best practices.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Deep understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial statements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Experience with financial systems (e.g., ERP, BI tools) and advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results under tight deadlines.
