Job Title: Catering Manager
Location: Fork Catering Company headquartered in Burlington, Iowa and serving Southeast Iowa, West Central Illinois, and Northeast Missouri
Reports to: Director of Operations

Position Summary:
The Catering Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our catering services, from sales to execution. This role requires a dynamic and detail-oriented individual who can manage client relationships, coordinate event logistics, and lead our catering team to deliver high-quality service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent organizational skills, and a proven track record in catering and staff management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development:
- Develop and implement strategies to drive catering sales.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
- Prepare and present proposals and contracts to clients.
- Conduct site visits and tastings to showcase our offerings.
- Event Planning and Execution:
- Coordinate all aspects of catering events, including menu planning, staffing, and logistics.
- Ensure all events are executed flawlessly, meeting client expectations and company standards.
- Manage event timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise catering staff, ensuring high levels of performance and morale.
- Schedule and manage staff for events, ensuring appropriate coverage.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Operational Oversight:
- Maintain inventory of catering supplies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Oversee the transportation and setup of catering equipment and food.
- Administrative Duties:
- Handle administrative tasks related to catering orders, including invoicing and record-keeping.
- Monitor and report on catering financial performance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Catering Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong sales and business development skills.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
