The Joseph Nashville, a Luxury Collection Hotel re-imagines the hotel experience. The hotel's modern expression is informed by the city's diverse maker-culture and is as focused on integrating the work of Nashville's artisans, chefs and craftsmen as it is that of its musicians. The Joseph's art program - incorporating both the local works of Tennessee artists and works from one of the world's most renowned art collections - deepens the hotel's offering and roots it firmly in Nashville for guests and visitors alike. Featuring 297 thoughtfully designed rooms and suites, as well as 22,000 square feet of event and meeting space, The Joseph will exceed the expectations of varied guests. WHAT YOU DO
You begin each day by planning your work and working your plan. You hire and train your servers, bartenders and set-up associates to the highest standards of service, and you inspect setup, presentation, and service standards with a discerning eye. Adaptable and patient, you work with your captains, internal sales team and meeting planners on event details and stay on top of any changes or last-minute needs. During events, you are the welcoming face of the hotel, overseeing banquets with great sensitivity to timing and unobtrusive service. Other times, you will be truly managing, ensuring the operations run smoothly and all members of your team have the support and help they need. You attend all BEO meetings and communicate changes and details effectively to your team.
Qualifications
WHO YOU ARE
You are a leader who knows how to execute high-end, luxury events with ease. Orchestrating a team of event professionals to provide unforgettable experiences is your forte. An outstanding communicator, you excel at building relationships with internal and external guests. Your positive attitude, sense of urgency and attention to detail make you successful as the trusted leader of the banquet department. You have 5 or more years in luxury hospitality and 3 or more years in banquet operations. You have advanced knowledge of catering, food and beverage, and the hospitality profession, possibly with relevant education. Your verbal and written English communication skills are exceptional and you may speak a second language. You enjoy being on the move and have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
