To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:

· All the tasks listed below are directly related to Hot Stamping Die Tooling

· Assist the Program Launch team in conducting new tool tryouts and other activities as scheduled.

· Provide key input into the development of departmental strategic goals along with identifying key measurable to support the departmental goals.

· Assist the Program Launch team in conducting new tool tryouts and other activities as scheduled.

· Work closely with the other departments to improve efficiency and throughput.

· Stabilize the process by determining the root cause of process issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.

· Guides design develops and tests die methods, materials, processes and results.

· Troubleshoot and communicate die concerns to the Tool & Die supervisors and/or manager.

· Recommend incorporation of new technology where feasible and practical. Assure that all products quoted and/or released to the plant are feasible and that the quoted rate, crew sizes, and plant performance metrics are achievable.

· Lead training activities for die engineers for die principles and practices.

· Ability to identify, select, train and coach engineering talent.

· Lead department weekly meeting.

· Report project status to department director.

· Understand and help overcome roadblocks to successful completion of projects.


This full-time salary role is a part of our Die Engineering team and reports to the Director of Tooling.

Required experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in Engineering or Engineering cross discipline. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in related technical and hands on experience and experience with Hot Stamping Tooling is required.
  • Background in engineering and building dies.
  • Ability to travel
