Development Data Analyst

SUMMARY:

Responsible to oversee all aspects of Raiser's Edge and related departmental integrations, including but not limited to: financial reporting, dashboard management, user activation, troubleshooting and training, database access and role definitions, ongoing improvements, list segmentation and query development, and supporting the fundraising work of the development team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Donor Database Expert and Financial Reporting

  • Serve as the central contact with Blackbaud and as the departmental point person for all Raiser’s Edge related questions, improvements, and ongoing development of the database.
  • Lead all related database integration projects including, but not limited to, OMATIC, EMMA, iWaive, Mongoose, Double the Donation, Jenzabar, and Lightcast.
  • Implement departmental procedures for user and data security, working with appropriate ITS contacts to ensure that all development-related platforms comply with the most current cyber and data security standards.
  • Manage and maintain all business functions within the database.
  • Produce all financial and campaign related reports for the Development office, including the monthly fundraising dashboard, monthly campaign snapshot, pledge forecasting, and performance on annual giving campaigns.
  • Produce accurate lists and queries for the purposes of printed and digital communications and alumni/donor/parent engagement.
  • Complete seasonal bulk uploads of new constituents including new graduates, parents, and acquired donors.
  • Accurately create, tag, and segment new constituent records in Raiser’s Edge.
  • Monitor and address duplicate record counts to ensure accurate records.
  • Oversee Gift Services operations, ensuring that all gifts are entered in an accurate and timely manner, and that accurate donation reports are supplied to the business office for final entry.
  • Collaborate with Prospect Research team on necessary reporting functions in the donor database, finding solutions to problems impacting moves management.
  • Other projects as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Baccalaureate Required. Master’s degree preferred. A dvanced knowledge and experience with system administration required.
  • 3 plus+ years of experience in system management with preference given to experience in a fundraising/development/philanthropy office.
  • Experience and proficiency with Raiser’s Edge (NXT) or another CRM tool.
  • Proven track record of implementing new platforms and successfully integrating across platforms.
  • Experience with development research resources such as LexisNexisand prospecting tools, such as DonorSearch, Wealth-X, IWave and Relationship Science.
  • Demonstrated mastery of Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to produce and understand financial reporting.
  • Must present a strong track record of producing development and fundraising-related reports.
  • Must understand information management in a database structure, particularly the ability to store, retrieve, analyze, and maintain data.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and meet frequent deadlines.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across all areas of the organization.
  • Demonstrate and promote high standards for quality and productivity, focusing on results.
  • Proven ability to work with confidential information in an appropriate manner.
