Controller

Robert Half is looking for a hands-on controller to perform and coordinate accounting duties with our fast-growing and stable client in Boca Raton, Florida.

The Controller's responsibilities include full oversight of accounting operations, preparation of financial reports, variance analysis and explanations, complex reconciliations, preparation of revenue projections and forecasts, strategic planning, managing a small team, and performing other accounting duties as assigned by the CFO.

The ideal accountant should have 10-15 years of accounting experience. Solid MS Excel skills and large ERP software experience are preferred along with a strong competence of picking up other systems and processes as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Direct oversight and maintenance of company's daily accounting functions
• Month End close, Year End close
• Prepare and analyze financial statements
• Support Payroll functions
• Tax Compliance
• Board Presentations
• Process improvement and streamlining; KPI development
• Prepare revenue projections and forecasting reports
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
• Reconcile Bank Accounts
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Manage and develop teams
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in related field (CPA highly desired)
• Technical Accounting experience (highly desired)
• Accuracy, attention to detail, ability to multitask
• Strong financial analysis skills
• Ability to create dashboards
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Management skills - Ability to effectively lead and manage teams
• Advanced Excel skills
