Location: Tampa, FL


Term: Full-Time


Salary: $150,000 - $175,000 per annum.


About the Company: Our client is a premier systems integration company specializing in delivering innovative automation and control solutions for the process sectors, including Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Water Treatment industries. They are currently seeking an experienced Control System Department Manager to lead their dynamic team and drive the success of key projects.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage the control systems department, overseeing all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of automation and instrumentation systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain standards, procedures, and best practices for control systems and EC&I (Electrical, Control & Instrumentation) engineering.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Oversee the programming and configuration of PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems for process sector projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and implement comprehensive instrumentation systems, including selection and integration of sensors, actuators, and control devices.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, manage resource allocation, and support recruitment efforts for the department.
  • Interface with clients to understand their needs and ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.


Ideal Experience:


  • Extensive experience in control systems engineering, instrumentation systems design, and EC&I engineering within the process sectors (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Water Treatment).
  • Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in programming and configuring PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
  • Strong understanding of process control, automation solutions, and instrumentation system integration.
  • Experience with system integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • P.E License.
  • 10+ years of experience in control systems engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of control systems, instrumentation systems, and EC&I engineering used in the process sectors.
  • Experience with project management and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
  • Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and project oversight.
