The career opportunity for you:

We are currently searching for an Estimator to be a part of our Communication and Security Systems Division. Our Communication and Security Systems Division installs and services commercial intrusion systems, access control systems, CCTV Surveillance systems, gate systems, data cabling, and fiber cabling. The Estimator will work as a member of a team to prepare detailed takeoffs, counts, and scope summaries (Prebid and post-bid).

The job duties for this position include but are not limited to:

Review and interpret project documents including drawings/blueprints/sketches, specifications, and contract language.

Identify labor, material, and time requirements to perform work.

Prepare detailed takeoffs, counts, and scope summaries.

Aid in product research and data entry.

Requirements:

Proficiency in Excel and Word.

Willingness and ability to visit job sites and facility tours.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work with a team or independently.

Working Knowledge of commercial or industrial low voltage systems.

Knowledge and understanding of industry applications; ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.

Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Experience:

1-2 years of construction estimating.

Prior work with on-screen take-off software.
