Community Event Coordinator

Job Description

As Community Event Coordinator you will be the driving force behind our brand's buzz in the local community! We'll look to you to find community events to participate in and to create pop-up events and programs to spread the word about our superior service, our vibrant company culture, and our dedication to the community. We're looking for a highly energetic person who exudes positivity and is very engaging and friendly to represent our brand.

Identifying, planning, and executing local events and programs is a core responsibility of this position, and collaboration with the sales team and outside vendors is key.

We're a startup, so organizational skills are a must! You'll help organize all the sales collateral and promotional items, making sure we have what we need when we need it.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Research and identify community events that align with our goals.
• Plan and implement community events and programs in coordination with the marketing leaders and sales team.
• Organize and lead sales/awareness events and activities during the week, in the evenings, and on weekends.
• Work with the sales team and other Community Event Coordinators to execute a wide range of marketing tactics, such as door-to-door deliveries, guerilla marketing, and pop-up events, to build brand awareness and help drive sales.
• Provide regular reporting on events and other tactics to the leadership team to gauge effectiveness of field marketing efforts.
• Create and follow event budgets and track key performance indicators.
• Provide tracking of daily activities.
• Responsible for post-event follow-up with the sales team to ensure all leads are contacted and tracked in the CRM.
• Take live orders, instructing customers on how to sign-up through the FastBridge Fiber website during events or while doing in-the-field tactics.
• Support the social media strategy by providing photos and videos to promote our service and events, grow our social media following, and engage our community.
• Willing and able to travel to other markets, as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, with high integrity and a strong work ethic.
• A professional demeanor is required to represent our company to our customers and the community.
• Highly energetic and outgoing.
• Independent and self-driven with ability to productively work autonomously.
• Skilled collaborator.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to set up a commercial grade pop up tent without help.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a criminal background check.

Education & Experience

• College degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent preferred.
• Telecommunications industry exposure a plus.
• Prefer at least one year of experience in a marketing or sales role.
