Job Overview:
The Redemption Party is seeking a passionate and experienced Communications Director to join our team on a volunteer basis. This role is ideal for a retired professional with extensive communications experience or an individual looking to further their political career by gaining valuable experience in a dynamic political environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to advance the party's mission and goals.
- Oversee all internal and external communications, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding.
- Manage and create content for various communication channels, including social media, press releases, newsletters, and the party's website.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and coordinate media relations.
- Collaborate with party leaders to craft compelling messages for speeches, public statements, and policy announcements.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage and public perception of the party.
- Provide crisis communication support and develop strategies to manage any potential public relations issues.
- Work closely with the campaign team to support election strategies and voter outreach efforts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop and execute effective communication strategies.
- Experience with media relations and crisis communication.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms and other digital communication tools.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for political advocacy and a commitment to the values of The Redemption Party.
