The Successful Applicant

Our client company is seeking a “high potential” Commodity Manager. A proactive sourcing leader with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast paced environment. This role will function to develop and implement corporate wide commodity strategies for several global commodities. Additionally, the ideal profile should include:

• 4-year degree
• MBA desirable
• 4+ years of Sourcing experience - managing multiple suppliers, writing contracts and developing alternate / second source supply base, implementing sourcing strategies
• Ideally experience with indirect commodities like professional services, fleet, facilities, repair parts, charter, risk, etc.
• Strong character qualities - high morals / ethics
• Knowledgeable in with a strategic sourcing methodology/process (i.e. 7-step strategic sourcing process or similar)
• DEMONSTRATED HISTORY OF ACHIEVEMENTS AND QUANTIFIABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS Looking for resumes showing achievements (i.e. not only cost savings, but how you got there), goal driven, metric driven (ex. reduced 3,600 supplier list by 13% by doing X, Y & Z).
