Commodity Manager

** This position can be in Irving, TX or Enon, OH.

JOB SUMMARY

As the Commodity Manager, you will partner with the Fresh Food, Private Brands and Supply Chain leadership teams to deliver improved cost and service levels. You will drive improved spend and quality performance by sourcing suppliers as well as negotiating contract terms in the areas Fresh Food, Private Brands and Supply Chain. This will include negotiations, bidding, and the creation and approval of contracts.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Source fresh food ingredients for menu assortment while managing to budget and maximizing spend via RFPs and contract/pricing negotiations.
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for designated categories.
• Implement vendor management and compliance programs including SLAs (Service Level Agreements), and pricing for products for fresh food products and ingredients.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and favorable terms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any issues that arise.
• Analyze market trends, assess supplier performance, and evaluate the impact of external factors on the procurement of products.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 5+ years

YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: 5+ years

CERTIFICATIONS: CPM - Certified Purchasing Manager certification a plus
