Job Summary

As a Project Engineer you support the Construction Project Managers and assist in the successful planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills to facilitate project tasks, manage documentation, and ensure seamless collaboration among project teams. What You Do

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, drawings, permits, and correspondence
    • Organize and archive project files, ensuring easy access and retrieval as needed
    • Prepare and distribute project-related documents, such as meeting agendas, minutes, and progress reports
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, updating timelines and milestones as necessary
    • Coordinate meetings, site visits, and other project-related activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and deadlines
    • Communicate schedule changes and updates to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
    • Liaise between project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to facilitate communication and collaboration
    • Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment, coordinating delivery schedules and logistics with the Project Manager
    • Provide administrative support to project managers and team members, including scheduling meetings and managing calendars
    • Assist in monitoring project budgets, uploading and coding credit card expenses, and approving invoices
    • Assist Project Manager with permitting and tracking of all primary and subcontractor permits needed
    • Maintain utility accounts and ensure proper coding and approval to invoices
    • Support quality control efforts by assisting in inspections, documenting deficiencies, and following up on corrective actions with Construction Managers
    • Manage and maintain RFI & submittals process in Procore. Ensure most current plans are uploaded to Procore
    • Assist in resolving quality-related issues and implementing improvement initiatives as needed
    • Identify potential risks and issues affecting project timelines, costs, or quality
    • Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans
    • Report any observed or anticipated risks to project management and contribute to problem-solving efforts
    • Assist with weekly OAC meetings by taking notes, keeping updates with links to county permit portal and distribution of meeting notes to all stakeholders
Who You Are

  • Previous experience in a construction-related role, preferably in project coordination or administration
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as MS Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Procore
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of construction processes, terminology, and documentation practices
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of Procore or ability to learn
  • Experience delighting clients and team members with customer service

Nice to Have

  • Experience in commercial construction
  • Degree in construction management, engineering, business administration, or related field (
  • Certification in project management is a plus
  • State of Florida contractors license
