The Client Services/ Marketing Manager is primarily responsible for the proactive outreach to current and potential clients in pursuit of outside marketing opportunities to perform work in consulting services. The position is secondarily responsible for building relationships with existing clients and assisting the company to develop Business Development Strategies.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Manage and coordinate all Marketing activities for the firm
Manage both the Proposal Coordinator and Marketing Coordinator resources
To monitor all information sources including but not limited to:
Mandatory preproposal meetings for projects.
Professional Organizations focused on Transportation in Metro Atlanta
Major points of contacts who are in the ‘know’ in Metro Atlanta
Industry Forums
Review the RFP as soon as it is issued in its entirety and understand all required elements to determine if the company is suited to Prime or to be a strong Sub.
Develop the strongest team possible that meets and exceeds all the minimum requirements in the RFP.
Identify and team with firms that demonstrate optimal qualifications for the project and possess competitive advantages conducive to securing teaming opportunities/projects
Assess teaming opportunities to identify the most suitable matches and evaluate how the company can enhance its capabilities as a subconsultant for selected projects
Facilitate quarterly follow up meetings with main teaming clients to get feedback from recent pursuits and to get intel on upcoming pursuits
Identify the marketing events and trade shows that offer optimal returns on investment in terms of both financial expenditure and time commitment for the company to participate in and exhibit
Ensure consistent and up-to-date communication of the company's messaging, including goals, objectives, and mission, both internally and externally
Ensure that the planning, organizing, and creation of website content are relevant and current.
Ensure up-to-date licensure and certifications for the company through proactive monitoring and renewals.
Ensure creation and maintenance of a comprehensive photo library for the company with easy access, organization, and utilization of visual assets across various projects and marketing materials
Engage in client visits to assess current relationships and identify opportunities for growth, while also remaining attentive to client personnel needs and potential opportunities for growth.
Additional duties as assigned.
Experience, Proficiencies, Skills and Certifications:
8+ years business development or marketing experience in an A/E/C environment preferred
Must have strong organizational skills
Must have strong social skills and enjoy meeting new people
Must be able to work well under pressure and collaboratively with SEI staff, teaming firms, technical staff and Vice President
Must have knowledge of transportation engineering and strong relationships with firms conducting similar types of business
Must be able to work and be productive with little to no supervision; This position is very independent and is considered a management position that requires a great deal of accountability
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle client calls and meetings during and after normal business hours at times
The ability to manage and coach administrative staff on functions of preparing a necessary documentation including proposals, GDOT prequalification’s’, marketing material, etc
Must maintain an excellent reputation within the industry
Must be available to attend trade shows as needed and to develop marketing material for these trade shows
Must possess current, valid driver’s license and Social Security Card or other documentation for E-Verify. EOE
