InfraHire is looking for a Chiller Mechanic in Boise, ID.

Job Description

  • Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on chillers and central plant systems as needed.
  • Regularly communicate with the Supervisor and customers regarding equipment condition, necessary repairs, and overall operating status.
  • Utilize appropriate tools and instruments for troubleshooting. Minimize callbacks by providing thorough diagnostics and employing skilled workmanship.

Qualifications

  • Over 2 years of experience with chillers
  • Experience with centrifugal compressors and chillers, both with and without VFD applications (York, Trane, Carrier, Smardt, Daikin)
  • Skilled in screw compressors and chillers (both air and water-cooled)
  • Knowledge of reciprocating compressors (air and water-cooled)
  • Familiarity with VFDs
  • Proficient in working with centrifugal pumps and motors, including alignment and bearing replacement
  • Understanding of EMS control sequences, strategies, and control devices (both central plant and facility-based)
  • Proficient in process chilled water systems and equipment
  • Knowledge of large tonnage air handling systems with and without economizers
