One of the largest IT asset disposition companies in the world, EPC, is looking for an on-site IT Research technician at our St. Charles, MO facility. No weekends or mandatory overtime required. Previous employment in a computer-related field, A+ certification, and a degree in electronics or IT field are preferred but not required for this position. This is one of EPC’s core services and directly contributes to our commitment to reuse and the circular economy. You will be a vital member of our remarketing team, helping put technology into the hands of consumers and keeping e-waste out of landfills.

Brief Summary of Duties:
Quickly identify valuable IT equipment and prep for sale
Research values of IT equipment
Repair and part out IT type equipment (PCs, Notebooks, Printers, Servers, etc.)
Ensure all customer data has been removed from IT equipment
Travel for in/out of state special projects when needed – Optional
Other tasks as assigned
Skills and/or Education Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Applicant must have typing skills and be able to perform constant data entry
High school diploma or equivalent degree
Applicant must be able to lift up to 50lbs routinely throughout the work day with or without a reasonable accommodation
Experience Required:
Resume must show a background working with computers
Work history doing hardware repair
Familiar with selling on the Internet sales websites
Experience and/or Education Preferred:
A+ certification or IT type degree
PC Tech Experience
Previous employment in computer related job
Personal Skills Necessary to Interact with Staff, Customers and Clients:
Applicant must be able to productively work as an individual and as part of a team
Applicant must be outgoing, energetic, able to multi-task and be able to prioritize work flow
Applicant needs to be creative when it comes to marketing and be able to quickly understand the value of IT type product
A+ certification or IT-type degree, PC Tech experience, and previous computer-related employment are preferred but not required.
