**Job Title:** Catering and Events Sales Manager


**Location:** New York City, NY


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $70,000 to $90,000 per year, based on experience and performance
  • + 2 to 3% commission
  • Lucrative commission structure based on sales performance.

**Position Overview:**


We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Catering and Events Sales Manager to join our successful and growing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales within the catering and events industry, possess a robust portfolio of clients, and thrive in a commission-based role that is heavily focused on outbound sales efforts. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to leverage their existing network and drive new business growth in a competitive market.


**Key Responsibilities:**


1. **Client Acquisition and Management:**

- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to attract new clients and expand our customer base.

- Cultivate strong relationships with potential and existing clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored catering solutions.

- Utilize personal client portfolio to generate new business opportunities and maintain long-term client relationships.


2. **Sales Strategy and Execution:**

- Identify and target key market segments, including corporate events, weddings, private parties, and other special occasions.

- Conduct outbound sales activities, including cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and conducting client presentations.

- Create compelling proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales to meet and exceed revenue targets.


3. **Event Coordination:**

- Collaborate with clients to plan and design customized catering menus and event setups that align with their vision and budget.

- Work closely with the culinary and operations teams to ensure flawless execution of events.

- Oversee event logistics, including site visits, tastings, and day-of coordination, to guarantee client satisfaction.


4. **Market Research and Analysis:**

- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify new opportunities for growth.

- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the management team, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.

- Implement feedback from clients to continuously improve service offerings and enhance customer experience.


5. **Team Collaboration and Leadership:**

- Partner with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns that support sales initiatives.

- Mentor and support junior sales team members, sharing best practices and sales techniques.

- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and credibility.


**Qualifications:**


- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a strong emphasis on catering and events.

- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

- Established portfolio of clients within the catering and events industry.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
