Business Development Representative

Job Title: Business Development Representative

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Job Overview: We are a leading provider of innovative logistics and supply chain management solutions, empowering businesses to optimize their operations and achieve their strategic goals. We are seeking a motivated and energetic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. The BDR will play a crucial role in driving our growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities, generating leads, and supporting the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation:
    • Proactively identify and research potential customers and new business opportunities.
    • Utilize various channels such as cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and industry events to generate leads.
    • Qualify leads and determine their potential fit for our solutions.
  • Prospecting:
    • Conduct outbound prospecting activities to create interest and engagement with potential customers.
    • Schedule meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team with qualified leads.
    • Maintain a consistent pipeline of prospects through continuous outreach and follow-up.
  • Market Research:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
    • Identify and share insights on emerging opportunities and potential threats in the market.
    • Gather and document customer feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • CRM Management:
    • Accurately enter and maintain lead and prospect information in the CRM system.
    • Track and report on key metrics, including lead generation activities and conversion rates.
    • Ensure timely follow-up and communication with all leads and prospects.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align on strategies and messaging.
    • Participate in regular sales meetings and provide updates on lead generation efforts.
    • Support the sales team in preparing for meetings and presentations with prospects.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a business development, sales, or similar role, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry.
  • Strong prospecting and lead generation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales tools.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
