Job Description
Business Development Manager – Key Accounts is a driven, results-oriented individual with the skills to create new leads, connect with customers, provide solutions, and close the deal. Key Accounts plays a crucial role in the growth and success of the company by identifying, developing, and managing sales relationships. Collaborate with Alto-Shaam sales, service, and product development teams as well as outside rep and dealer partners to create demand for Alto-Shaam products in Multi-Unit Foodservice, Retail, Hospitality, C-Store, Contract Feeder, and Franchise accounts.
The ideal candidate for a Business Development Manager - Key Accounts would be able to do the following:
Identify and Target Emerging Chain Accounts: Research, identify, and prioritize potential emerging chain restaurant and hospitality accounts that align with Alto-Shaam's business objectives and product offerings.
Develop Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers within emerging chain accounts to understand their needs, challenges, and growth strategies. Collaborate with these partners to develop tailored solutions using Alto-Shaam's product portfolio.
Drive Revenue Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth within emerging chains. This includes setting sales targets, creating account-specific business plans, and implementing initiatives to meet or exceed sales goals.
Product Knowledge and Training: Become an expert on Alto-Shaam's product offerings and capabilities. Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and presentations to educate emerging chain accounts on the benefits and features of Alto-Shaam equipment.
Market Analysis and Insights: Stay abreast of market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging industry developments within the foodservice and hospitality sectors. Utilize this information to identify new business opportunities and develop compelling value propositions.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, product development, customer service, and culinary to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives. Collaborate on marketing campaigns, product launches, and customer support strategies.
Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations with emerging chain accounts to secure pricing and relationships within sales channel. Ensure that pricing is aligned with Alto-Shaam's pricing policies, terms, and conditions.
Monitor and Report on Sales Performance: Track sales metrics, analyze performance data, and generate monthly reports on emerging chain results and activity. Use these insights to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies.
Attend Trade Shows and Events: Represent Alto-Shaam at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to build brand awareness, generate leads, and establish industry relationships within the emerging chains market.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Utilize CRM tools to maintain accurate account records, track customer interactions, and manage sales pipelines effectively.
