Building Engineer

Responsibilities

• Building Systems Maintenance: Ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of all building systems, including HVAC, Electrical, plumbing, and fire protections systems. This includes conducting regular inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating repairs or replacements as needed.
• Serve as a point of contact for tenants, addressing their concerns, and resolving maintenance issues promptly. Building strong relationships with tenants and providing exceptional customer service to ensure their satisfaction.
• Overseeing the day- to day operations of the building. Being prepared to respond to emergency situations effectively and ensuring the safety of tenants and building occupants.
• Ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Conducting regular inspections, maintaining records, and addressing any non-compliance issues promptly. Maintaining a safe and secure environment for tenants and employees.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of four years previous professional experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience commercial facilities maintenance and building maintenance.
• Background in the Life Sciences, Biotech and BioPharma industry required
• Previous experience managing vendors.
• Knowledge of biotech infrastructure and systems.
• Knowledge of equipment, controls, and building automation maintenance. Technical disciplines in Plant Operations, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings and technical manuals.
