The bilingual employee relations specialist is responsible for managing a range of activities related to employee relations and staffing functions for manufacturing.

Position Purpose
The bilingual employee relations specialist is responsible for managing a range of activities related to employee relations and staffing functions for manufacturing.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Employee Relations - Builds constructive relationships with employees and other stakeholders; reinforces the consistent application of JCB standards applies knowledge of employment and labor law; effectively manages conflict; builds and maintains a collaborative, productive work Understanding of laws, legal codes and government regulations
- Leads sourcing and recruiting initiatives and processes to leverage networking and employee referrals.
- Conducts new hire onboarding processes
- Provides translation support in Spanish/English
- Conducts Exit Interviews w/ team members, analyzes information collected & assembles a proposal to reduce turnover.
- Acts as a liaison between department managers and team members.
- Provides advice and counsel to managers and supervisors regarding personnel practices, policy and employment laws.
- Administers unemployment insurance processes; reviews liability reports and monitors program costs; and recommends policy changes to the Director of Human Resources.
- Develops and builds hiring processes for a variety of departments within the Manufacturing Department
- Develops, streamlines and enhances staffing systems, tracking reporting and analysis.
- Ensures compliance with all state and federal discrimination and employment regulations.
Reports to Vice President of Human Resources
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with principles and procedures for recruitment, selection, training and compensation and benefits
- Understanding of behavior and performance and individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning and motivation
- Familiarity with group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, ethnicities and cultures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal
- Ability to resolve conflicts quickly
- Flexibility and able to adapt quickly to changes
- Effectively prioritize and manage time in order to complete multiple projects and tasks on time
- Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
- Proven ability to interface and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence culture and create alignment between business goals and HR processes.
- Great people management and coaching skills.
