Our client is looking for a dynamic leader to take the role of Assistant Plant Manager at the Chico division. This individual will be assisting the Plant Manager in leading safety and quality, while also being in constant communication with the sales and purchasing departments to schedule daily production schedules of the Chico Division.
Candidates For This Position Are Required To Have
5+ years of production management experience in a lumber mill or manufacturing environment.
The ability to fill a variety of different production roles in a lumber mill.
An understanding of OSHA regulations.
General computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience in lean manufacturing.
Organizational, scheduling, and time management skills.
The Responsibilities Of This Position Are
To obtain maximum productivity while keeping safety and quality at a level of excellence.
Performing personnel supervision, evaluation, and development, to include supervisors.
Overseeing shipments to customers.
Coordinating with sales and purchasing departments to coordinate daily production schedules.
Management and accountability for proper utilization of lumber, labor, and other resources.
Purchasing and managing supplies other than Lumber.
In conjunction with the Plant Manager, and Lean Manufacturing Coach, working to identify and eliminate waste at the Chico Division.
Creation and maintenance of relevant reports to production and safety.
Managing the certification and training of forklift operators.
Management of the Chico Division's mentorship training program.
Other duties as assigned.
