Georgetown’s School of Continuing Studies (SCS) seeks to foster a collaborative, innovative, and student-first culture shaped by Georgetown’s Jesuit heritage and values. The summer medical academies are between one and three weeks long and are non-credit academic courses with rigorous curricula.

The Assistant Academic Director (AAD) - in a temporary role – is a resource for high school students, mentors, and the Academic Director (AD).
An academic professional, they are reliable, responsible, flexible, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
They Change Gears Quickly And Troubleshoot Problems Independently To Implement And Oversee The Day-to-day Logistics Of Their Programs; And Train And Supervise a Team Of Mentors Throughout The Summer. Their Main Areas Of Responsibility Include But Are Not Limited To
The Assistant Academic Director trains and supervises a cohort of high school students who serve as Mentors throughout the summer.

Requirements And Qualifications
- Current student, graduating undergraduate, or a graduate student
- Supervisory and/or leadership experience
- Proficiency with MS Office, Google Suite, and Zoom
- Current or graduating Georgetown University student
- Experience working in an educational setting
- Experience working with faculty
- Experience working with high school students
- Institutional knowledge of Georgetown University
- Knowledge or experience relating to the Academy subject matter
