The Agronomist is a permanent, full-time position with the Alabama Department of Transportation.

Positions are located statewide.

This is entry-level professional agronomy work assisting with statewide roadside improvement, erosion control, and vegetation management programs. MINIMUM REQUIREMENT(S)

  • Associate’s degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field and two years of experience in turf development and management, landscaping development and management, or roadside vegetation development and management.
  • OR
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited* four-year college or university in Agronomy, Horticulture, or a closely related field. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT(S)
