What is the most important thing to focus on during a performance evaluation as an Executive Manager?
As many here have mentioned, providing feedback in the moment (or at least close to the event) throughout the year rather than letting it accumulate to cover at an annual performance evaluation gives people the opportunity to start addressing it immediately and frees up the time in an annual review to talk about bigger issues: How their performance and potential is viewed holistically by the company, what opportunities that opens up (or does) for the future, and how that aligns with the employee's self-perception and career wishes, so create a forum that can be future-focused and hopefully motivating.

How can you keep your team up-to-date with brand management trends?
Lunch and learns and Town Halls are great forums for sharing successes within your organization as well as looking at what's going on with competitors and just other interesting work. Having a "test-and-learn fund" that teams can compete for to test new ideas, vehicles, and channels and report back results and learning. Inviting other teams in the organization and outside voices (agencies, etc.) to share work that they deem to be inspirational and aspirational. Rotate who's responsible to putting these presentations and sharing sessions together is also a way to include everyone, rather than relying on a single group.
