SAVE THE DATES! Session 1: A Deep Sea Mining Moratorium, is THIS SATURDAY! Register for this FREE 2-week virtual program HERE: thttps://buff.ly/3WgFGh5 🩵 This miniature 2-week version of the regular 4-week Youth Advocacy Training program is going to be AWESOME! The program is designed for ages 16-23, but youth of all ages are welcome to join. Don’t miss out! 🌊 In partnership with Sustainable Ocean Alliance Deep Sea Conservation Coalition (DSCC), and High Seas Alliance, the typical program content, while still focused on building upon and refining existing advocacy skills, has been adapted to encourage strengthened collaborative efforts specifically surrounding #DeepSeaMining and protecting the #HighSeas. The World Ocean Day action for July is officially out! As a citizen of the world, you can help protect the largest habitat on Earth - the deep sea! For a long time, we believed the ocean was so huge and full of life that nothing we did could harm it and its abundance. We thought that pollution would simply dilute away. However, current corporate plans could cause severe disruption and pollution, and we urgently need to understand our deep-sea ecosystems and their importance to our planet, its people, and the atmosphere.
