WMH Corporation is honored to be the recipient of ✨ ACEC California's Honor Award✨ for our work on the North-South Greenway Gap Closure project! WMH led the civil engineering design for environmental approval, final design, and design services during construction of this multi-use path that will close a key gap in the North-South Greenway non-motorized transportation network in Marin County. The project provides access improvements over Corte Madera Creek and along Old Redwood Highway, creating a safer, parallel bridge and at-grade connections for bike and pedestrian use. 🚵♀️ The improvements tie into Marin County trails and also provide better access to public transportation such as the Larkspur Ferry Terminal. The project was accomplished in partnership with Transportation Authority of Marin, Caltrans, the City of Larkspur, the County of Marin, and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission. “Thank you to all the team partners for your effort on this project, and special thanks to TAM and TAM’s Project Manager, Bill Whitney, for leading this effort. We are grateful to have contributed to this great project, and the opportunity to work with each of you.” WMH President and CEO, William Hadaya, PE More about the project, and the award the project received, can be found on our Web News page: https://lnkd.in/e2pYBtWr #Caltransdistrict4 #engineering #hiringnow #bayareacivilengineer #TAM #marincounty #ACEC #MTC

At the CCTA Redefining Mobility Summit held in San Ramon this week, transportation experts discussed the evolution of transportation, and addressed emerging challenges. At the summit, autonomous vehicles utilizing cutting edge technology were presented as sustainable mobility solutions for the transportation issues we face. This is an exciting time in transportation, where innovative multimodal transportation systems are becoming more easily accessible, and effective. A new autonomous car, the Glydways PRT (Personal Rapid Transit), was unveiled. The Glydways car will be part of a new micro transportation system coming to East Contra Costa County to reduce traffic congestion. Thank you to Contra Costa Transportation Authority and its partners for hosting yet another fantastic industry summit! Through sponsorship, WMH Corporation contributes to STEM education, a mission that is very important to us.
