What an exciting time for the University of Texas at Tyler, which yesterday broke ground on the expansion of its Longview University Center. The new facility will allow for a greater number of bachelor’s and graduate degree programs to be available in Longview and Gregg County. The UT System Board Chairman Kevin P. Eltife thanked state leadership for its support and said: "The University of Texas System is proud to have a presence in Longview and play a small part in the growth of this community. The University of Texas Board of Regents' focus and mission is to do everything we can to provide the best patient care for our patients and to provide an affordable, accessible education to our most precious asset in this state: our students."
