🌞 July is UV Safety Awareness Month! 🌞 As we enjoy the summer sun, it's important to protect our skin from harmful UV rays. Here are some essential tips to keep your skin safe and healthy: ✔️ Wear Sunscreen: Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30. Reapply every two hours, especially after swimming or sweating. ✔️ Seek Shade: Avoid direct sun exposure between 10 AM and 4 PM when UV rays are strongest. ✔️ Protective Clothing: Wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, wide-brimmed hats, and sunglasses. ✔️ Regular Skin Checks: Monitor your skin for any changes and visit your dermatologist for annual check-ups. Stay safe and enjoy the sunshine responsibly! 🌞🕶️👒 👉 For more information, visit our website: https://lnkd.in/gKVjNcTn #UVSafety #SkinCare #SunProtection #HealthySkin #SummerSafety #Dermatology #Sunscreen #SkinHealth #USDermatologyPartners

Why is acne more common in the summer? According to U.S. Dermatology Partners Board Certified Dr. Jean Charles, heat and humidity, sun exposure, sweat production and increased use of sunscreen can cause more severe acne breakouts. Charles explains in the article by The Daily Record why more sweat can cause acne: "The issue is that when we sweat, dead skin cells stay stuck to the skin and are less likely to be naturally removed. The additional oils on the skin from sweat and sunscreen can keep these dead skin cells trapped in the pores." Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gWS3Fzaq
