The Federal Highway Administration is hiring a Structural Civil Engineer Pathways Recent Graduate in Sevierville, Tennessee. This position is open to recent graduates and closes on July 26, 2024. Position duties include: -Perform a variety of safety inspections and inventories of structures to identify and note deficiencies, unusual problems, or the general physical condition of such structures. -Perform field condition surveys of concrete bridge decks. -Assist with assessment of stream hydraulic characteristics, including scour, erosion, alignment, etc. -Prepare inspection reports and make recommendations to correct deficienciess, and assist in the calculation of load ratings, load permit request, and cost estimates.
