Congratulations to HIRE360 Partners for receiving a grant through the state’s Clean and Equitable Jobs Act!   HIRE360 received more than $9 million to expand its pre-apprenticeship programs to help workers develop essential skills for careers in trade jobs and clean energy.   HIRE360 evolved from an initiative piloted by United Way of Metro Chicago, the Chicago Federation of Labor, the Chicago & Cook County Building & Construction Trades Council, and Construction Industry Service Corporation (CISCO) to create career pathways into apprenticeship programs with construction trades, hospitality, and other industries.   We’re thrilled to see the growth and impact of HIRE360. United Way was thrilled to join our corporate and nonprofit partners for an impactful volunteer day yesterday! Employees from PNC packed more than 2,500 pounds of pasta at the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
