Just because something is new doesn’t necessarily mean it’s better. Reports like this one👇🏼 continue to demonstrate that the rise of technology and digital media, while very beneficial and useful in some arenas, does not always equate to increased student learning. Our education system, at times, seems quick to adopt the new and shiny with little-to-no evidence that it actually helps kids! While many places of education seek out what is quicker, more efficient, and more “convenient,” classical Christian education continues to look for what is deeper, lasting, and time-tested. Education should be more about who the student is becoming versus how much “information” can be crammed into their heads. We should reclaim an understanding that students are whole people, created in the image of God, to be formed and not machines or robots to be programmed. “Better” does not always mean more efficient. https://lnkd.in/gnsvBWb6
