Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville welcomes our summer VolunTeens! Twenty young people will be volunteering in many areas of the hospital over the next two weeks. They will also have the opportunity to explore healthcare careers through two medical exploration days. Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville welcomes Malik Ibrahim, MD, Board Certified Neurologist to our inpatient team of physicians. Dr. Ibrahim completed his training at Taft, Connecticut and Yale Universities. He furthered his training at Vanderbilt University specializing in the subspecialties of epilepsy and neuromuscular diseases. By having Dr. Ibrahim on site at Tennova, patients can often receive a diagnosis sooner for neurological disorders. He will have more time to listen to patient concerns, explain patient diagnosis and treatment options, and better involve patients and families in the decision-making process. We are excited to have Dr. Ibrahim in our hospital and community! #TeamTennova

In Tennessee, every June 23rd is the day to celebrate the fastest woman in the world, Wilma Rudolph! She was a Clarksville native who attended Burt School. Today, she is remembered as an inspiration who overcame obstacles to excel as an athlete. Wilma has many accomplishments, including winning three gold medals at the 1960 Olympics. We also remember her courage in combating segregation and her humanitarian work as a United States goodwill ambassador. Happy #WilmaRudolphDay. (Shared from Montgomery Co. Government social media)
